Erik Goodman is a senior staff attorney at Tzedek DC. He has been an advocate for consumers and victims of fraud for more than fifteen years. From 2005 through 2011, he served as a staff attorney in the Dayton office of Legal Aid of Western Ohio, where he represented seniors who had been financially exploited and clients of all ages who were facing debt collection. He then moved to the District of Columbia to join the AARP Legal Counsel for the Elderly. There he served as a senior attorney from 2011 through 2019, again representing seniors in consumer cases and matters involving exploitation. From 2020 to 2022, he was the managing attorney for consumer and bankruptcy law at the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. In that role, he supervised the Pro Bono Center’s Bankruptcy Clinic, Advice & Referral Clinic, and Consumer Law Resource Center. He graduated from Northeastern University School of Law and the University of Kansas.
