Janet Lowenthal has been an independent consultant, project evaluator and writer for diverse organizations including the World Bank, AID, the American Jewish World Service, Alliance for Justice, and the Israeli-Palestinian Science Organization.   She has also served as Institutional Grants Director for the Center for American Progress, the New Israel Fund and the National Environmental Trust.  Previously she was Executive Director of the Nuclear Information and Resource Service and Director of Policy Coordination for Jimmy Carter’s Presidential Commission on World Hunger.  Janet received a BA in History from Harvard College.
