Maritza Cortez is the Financial Counselor at Tzedek DC. Maritza joins Tzedek DC with experience in financial counseling work through nonprofits and private coaching, and paralegal experience in bankruptcy, real estate, no-fault car accidents, and workers' compensation. She is a teacher at heart who works diligently toward making sure her clients understand the power and freedom they can gain from financial literacy. She believes that every person has unlimited potential and that they can create a value-filled life. She wants people to have a positive relationship with their finances. She went to Montgomery College and is also certified in International Finance through the Maryland Academy of Finance.
